25 Things About Me: Donkey Kong

1. I'm glad my designers gave me a few more things to do. Sitting at the top of some scaffolding and tossing barrels got awfully boring.

2. No, I don't have fleas.

3. I do love bananas, especially in a nice banana cream pie.

4. My signature red neck ties are custom made by Dixie Kong.

5. King K. Rool is my arch-nemesis.

7. My favorite adventure was Donkey Kong Country. I looked so good in that game…

8. Speaking of Donkey Kong Country, did you know that that game had 39 levels?

9. Cranky Kong wasn't so happy when he found out that many of the barrels I'd been smashing were his old antiques.

10. My friend Funky Kong used to be a roadie for the Grateful Dead. Despite being an ape, he was indistinguishable from most of the other roadies.

11. I have plenty of pals in the animal kingdom, and most of them even let me ride them as a mount. Remember Rambi, Expresso, Enguarde, Winky, and Squawks?

12. If you like the music in my adventures as much as I do, you should buy my CD: DK Jamz.

13. In addition to bananas, I love to eat apples, oranges, grapes… and chocolate.

13. My nephew Diddy Kong is quick and agile, but he'll never be as strong as me.

14. People think of me as a big dumb ape, but I'm actually a very avid reader!

15. My designer, Shigeru, gave me my name because he thought that "donkey" meant "stupid" in English. Americans found this very funny, but the name stuck anyways.

16. In addition to being an expert climber and jumper, I'm one heck of a go kart driver. You can find me driving a kart in games like Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, and more.

17. If you decide to race as me in one of my go kart games, drive carefully: I'm a slow starter, but I can really get going if you can steer!

18. Depending on what game you find me in, you might be rooting for me or against me.

19. I never really disliked Mario in the first place. I just wanted to keep Pauline's cooking for myself. She knows so many banana recipes!

20. Did I mention that Diddy Kong actually has a racing game of his own? Diddy Kong Racing came out for the N64 in 1997.

21. I once received a public indecency charge for only wearing a tie.

22. I'm often confused with Donkey Kong, Jr.

23. Any time I feel down, I just look at my massive stockpile of bananas.

24. People often have a hard time deciding whether I'm a good guy or a bad guy.

25. My first appearance in a video game was in 1981, and there's quite a competition for high scores in that one.

COMBING YOUR PET Remove the clear plastic cover over the comb. Activate the Flea Zapper Comb by pushing the POWER button located on the side of the unit. A steady buzzing sound will indicate that the unit is operating properly Position the teeth of the Flea Zapper Comb at a 45 degree angle to the root of the hair near the surface of the skin. Gently comb the unit through the pet's hair in the direction of the hair growth Begin with your pet's head and brush towards the base of the tail The buzzing will stop every time a flea is "Zapped". Remove dead or stunned fleas with the included brush Remove accumulated hair from the comb's teeth as you go to ensure fleas can come into good contact with the "zap" Fleas that are removed from your pet should be sealed into a plastic bag to be discarded Repeat until the entire body has been combed and no more fleas are detected Use the Flea Zapper Comb daily for two consecutive weeks. This will increase your success in eliminating the flea infestation Continue to check your pet on a regular basis for new fleas that may be brought into the home. Make the Flea Zapper Comb a part of your pet's regular grooming to help detect the presence of new fleas! Some pets may object to the sound of the Flea Zapper Comb. This can usually be overcome by turning the unit "on" and just placing it near the animal. After the animal becomes accustomed to the buzzing sound, you can begin combing for short periods of time, gradually increasing the time of use until your pet is no longer alarmed by the sound of the unit in use.
